The Augustine Family's Invisalign & Porcelain Veneers — Jupiter, FL

Why Matt & Heather Chose Juno Beach Smiles

Why Matt Got Invisalign

Matt had braces as a child, but over the years, his teeth had shifted again, and he was displeased with how they looked. Dr. Keuning got him started on Invisalign because the treatment is much more cosmetically-friendly than braces, and it allowed Matt to keep up his busy travel schedule without having to worry about missing follow-up appointments. Towards the end of treatment, Dr. Keuning extended Matt’s Invisalign to make his teeth absolutely perfect at no additional cost to him.

Invisalign FAQs

What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment that uses a series of clear plastic aligner trays to correct crooked and crowded teeth. A patient simply wears one set of trays for about two weeks before progressing onto the next one. Once they have gone through the entire series, their teeth should be completely straight.

How long does Invisalign take?

Most Invisalign treatments range from about 12-18 months, which is much shorter than the 2-3 years required for traditional braces!

How much does Invisalign cost?

The cost of Invisalign is largely based on the number of trays a patient needs to properly align their teeth, and this number will be determined by how misaligned a patient’s teeth are at the beginning of treatment. In most cases, Invisalign tends to cost a little bit more than traditional braces, but most patients think the difference is worth it because they can enhance their smile without the worrisome “metal-mouth” appearance.

Why Heather Got Porcelain Veneers

Heather never really loved her smile, so she was interested in getting some cosmetic dentistry, with the caveat that she didn’t want the final result to look “too perfect” and unnatural. Dr. Keuning took her considerations to heart and gave her just two porcelain veneers, each with minor imperfections to create a more lifelike appearance. The end result was a more beautiful smile that didn’t look overdone, and Heather was very pleased.

Porcelain Veneer FAQ

What are porcelain veneers?

Porcelain veneers are extremely thin ceramic coverings that are fitted directly onto the front of the teeth to enhance their appearance. With them, our team can fix stains, chips, cracks, gaps, and even slightly crooked teeth all at the same time.

How long does it take to get porcelain veneers?

Usually, the process of designing, fabricating, and placing porcelain veneers only takes two appointments.

How much do porcelain veneers cost?

Porcelain veneers are always custom-made, so the price really depends on a patient’s goals for their smile. Like Heather, a patient can opt to get a small amount of veneers, or they can get a full set that covers all of the teeth that show when they smile. We can talk about how much your veneers will cost when you come to see us for a consultation.
